Spirometry Screening (Lung Function test)

 

Spirometry plays an important role in an occupational respiratory health surveillance program. Spirometry screening assists the health professional by determining if an employee demonstrates a specific pattern of respiratory impairment and can help to assess the effectiveness of measures implemented to protect the employees. The main function of Spirometry screening in the workplace is that of medical surveillance of workers exposed to respiratory hazards (dust, fumes, vapors, smoke and gasses).

The Spirometry screening entails:

• Lung Questionnaire

• Lung Function screening

The employees will receive feedback on their results and management will receive a detailed report with corrective measures, if deemed necessary.
